Night on Telescope Peak

Andrew needed one more night on Telescope Peak before we left Death Valley. From two hundred feet below sea level to 11,000 ft. in one day. The road had just opened all the way up to the trailhead after a very snowy winter.

Exposed sleep at 23 degrees.

On the way home he came across two snakes. The first snakes we (he) have ever seen in the park.
This one is definitely a rattlesnake.
(See video clips several posts down.)
I think this one is a bull snake, nonpoisonous, but five feet long.

Plus, a couple of nice flowers.
