Above the Clouds

We woke up one morning and had plans to go play in the mountains, and found the cloud ceiling to be extremely low. On the way up we made a detour to Augerberry Point, a prime overlook in the Panamint Mountains. The view above the clouds was amazing!

You can see the road we drove up on in this picture.

Clouds covered the valley all the way to Mt. Charleston, the 12,000 ft. mountain on the west side of Las Vegas.

The Inyo Mountains

What a nice surprise! We were enjoying a clear, sunny (typical Death Valley) day while everyone in the valley saw nothing but thick clouds.
