Between Seward and Chena Hot Springs we drove into the park four times. The first night we saw seven moose and not a single one was a calf (that is weird). We got to see a piece of the mountain on the second trip, and by the third one it was booming!
What a sight...everytime!

Tundra rose and eskimo potato
One of the few moose we saw. He definitely made a show.
Hiking along the Savage River trail we encountered this mother ptarmigan with at least seven or eight chicks. They were such a pleasure to watch.
There was also a friendly marmot there to greet us!

Moose galore! They were everywhere.
